Tobacco Free AUB 2018
The Tobacco Free AUB 2018 Taskforce which was formed by President Khuri in March 2017 is recruiting volunteers. The task force is composed of staff, students and faculty who are guiding the development of the Tobacco Free AUB policy which will come into effect on January 1, 2018. This initiative is in line with numerous campuses worldwide that have also made the decision to become tobacco-free, both indoors and outdoors. Compliance with the policy would be mandatory and violations of the policy will result in disciplinary measures.

The volunteers will be part of a champions/ambassadors group that will participate in ensuring it is properly communicated and enforced during the transition phase between August 30, 2017 and December 31, 2017 and then beyond. This ambassador group will consist of volunteer staff, students and faculty members. Interested volunteers will need to attend a hands on participatory training led by the Center for Research on Public Health Practice (CPHP) at the Faculty of Health Sciences that will be announced in due time.
